Dear Readers, 

It is with immense joy and pride that I present before you the new website for the Literary Association of North America (LANA). As the president of LANA, it is a great honor to announce this new and remarkable milestone in the journey of this wonderful association which is a hub for all those who share a love for Malayalam literature and language. 

I would like to extend my most sincere gratitude to all the former leaders and well wishers of LANA who assisted and cooperated with us by providing the necessary information and advice to build this website successfully. I am at a loss for words to express my deepest appreciation for the hard work of the Website committee consisting of Shankar Mana, Jane Joseph, Anilal Sreenivasan, and Bindu Tiji. This committee has sacrificed their time and effort selflessly for the past six months to create this website. The website has not been totally completed, instead it is currently a work in progress. As LANA completes 23 eventful years of its journey, we have much to look back on and be proud of. As Malayalam language and literature grows beyond the borders of Kerala, as a national literary association, all of us in LANA have a responsibility to assist in its growth and success. As a part of this responsibility, the LANA family is opening its doors to the new immigrant generation of literary enthusiasts who wish to write not only in Malayalam, but also in English. 

LANA is inviting all those who share a love for the Malayalam language, copious reading, and selfless cooperation to become a member of this association. I once again welcome all to join LANA and to enjoy the happiness provided by the unique fellowship of like-minded literary enthusiasts.

 Kavi Sebastain, famous poet from Kerala, joined LANA members for kaviyarangu on July 12, 2020 at 10 AM CST.

 Sri. Vaisakhan (President, Kerala Shaithya Academy) addressed LANA on June 14, 2020 at 10.30 Central time.Several of the malayalam literature lovers attended the function and participated in the interactive session followed.
